都市與動物園之間有許多相似之處。 兩者皆由人所建構， 是原本不屬於此地的生物聚集之所。 在封閉的空間裡，它們重複著相同的日常， 模糊了觀察者與被觀察者的界線。 在城市中出現動物的身影，真會令人違和嗎？ 或許不然——人類的空間本應與其他生命共享。 然而人們漸漸失去了對他者的感知， 自身在都市中的存在感也逐漸淡薄。 什麼是人？什麼是我？ 若動物象徵自然，人類象徵社會， 那「人」與「非人」的界線究竟在哪裡？ 為何我在這裡？為何動物不在這裡？ 這是人類的世界，還是動物的世界？ ——我感到困惑。

Cities and zoos share many similarities. Both are artificial spaces created by humans — gatherings of beings that do not originally belong there. Within closed environments, they repeat the same patterns, blurring the boundary between observer and the observed. Is it strange to see animals appear in a city? Perhaps not — for human space was once meant to be shared with other living beings. Yet people have gradually lost the sense of other lives, and their own presence within the city has faded too. What is human? What am I? If animals represent nature and humans represent society, where lies the boundary between the human and the non-human? Why am I here? Why are the animals not? Is this the world of humans, or of animals? I am confused.

都市と動物園には多くの類似点がある。 どちらも人間によって作られた人工の空間であり、 本来そこに属していない人間や動物が集められている。 閉ざされた環境の中で同じ行動を繰り返し、 観察者と被観察者の境界が曖昧になる。 都市に動物の姿が現れることは、果たして違和感なのだろうか。 もともと人間の空間は他の生き物と共有されるべきものではなかったか。 しかし人々は次第に他の生命の存在を感じ取れなくなり、 都市の中で自らの存在も薄れていく。 人間とは何か。私とは何か。 動物は自然であり、人間は社会であるのか。 「人間」と「非人間」の境界はどこにあるのか。 なぜ私はここにいるのか。 なぜ動物はここにいないのか。 ここは人間の世界か、それとも動物の世界か。 ——混乱している。
